Despite its rich list of functions, ZD Soft Screen Recorder allows you to quickly launch the program and use its capabilities.  A big plus is the freedom to set the dimensions of the area to be recorded;  this is done by adjusting the resolution with the mouse, using the appropriate boxes or using automatic detection of active windows in the system.

  The program allows you to save material in many (more than twenty) formats, including AVI, ASF, FLAC, FLV, GIF, M2TS, M4A, MKA, MKV and MOV.  Number of supported video codecs (including H264, Xvid, MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, MJPEG, WMV 7/8) and audio (including AAC, AC-3, MP3, Vorbis).  Of course before saving we have the option to set a suitable combination of formats used along with additional options that affect quality.

  During recording, the field frame, the window equipped with quick access buttons always remains on top.  In this way, we can, for example, finalize the recording material without having to open the main program window.  It is worth paying attention to the manufacturer's assurances on the synchronization of audio with video material and the support of multiple monitors at the same time.  Finally, it is worth adding that, in comparison with the number of options offered when recording movies, the ability to take screenshots in the form of photos is an addition to the program, which offers three recording formats, but remains fully functional ( BMP, JPG, PNG).
