Vistumbler is a Wi-Fi network scanning tool that can scan the entire wireless network providing details and more. Vistumbler uses the Windows Local WiFi API to collect wireless information and to find access points. It will verify network configurations and help in detecting unauthorized access points. Vistumbler uses WLAN standards such as IEEE 802.11a, 802.11b and 802.11g to find Wireless LANs. There are 3 options for using GPS with Vistumbler. Kernel32 is the recommended com interface since it supports both x32 and x64. If this interface is not working you can try CommMG, which should work with x32 and x64 (but a little less stable). There is also a Netcomm OCX which requires the NETCommOCX ActiveX control to be installed first (Netcomm will only be installed on x32, some people are starting to work with x64). GPS receivers must be serial-based and should appear as a COM port.
