Rescuezilla is a disk imaging program compatible with Clonezilla. While Clonezilla has a dos interface, Rescuezilla is very easy to use with its graphical interface.

Disk imaging takes a backup of your computer's hard drive managed as files stored on an external hard drive.

If your hard drive fails, you can restore your disk image and in a few minutes all your documents and settings will be restored to the state they were in when the last snapshot was taken.


Rescuezilla allows you to perform backup, restore and recovery operations even if you cannot boot into your normal operating system. It doesn't matter if you use Windows, Mac or Linux.

Even if you can't login it doesn't matter. Download and burn the ISO to a USB stick and reboot your machine.

Your computer will load into your computer's memory a complete mini-operating system with a point-and-click user interface, without writing any information to your hard drive.
