Pisi Linux is a free Linux distribution originating in Türkiye, focused on end-users, and developed entirely by a volunteer community.
In short, its basic features are as follows:
Pardus Legacy: This project continues development based on the technologies of the original Pardus from before 2011 (PiSi package system, ÇOMAR, YALI, Kaptan, etc.). It is completely independent of the current Debian-based Pardus.
Original Package Management (PiSi): Thanks to its "Packages Installed Successfully as Intended" (PiSi) system, it quickly installs, updates, and uninstalls software. With Delta update support, it saves internet data by downloading only the changed parts.
User-Friendly Tools:
Captain: A wizard that helps you customize your desktop upon initial startup.
YALI: A quick installation tool that installs the operating system on your computer.
ÇOMAR: This is an administrator that allows you to automatically or easily configure complex settings such as hardware and network settings.
Desktop Environment: By default, it uses the modern and visually rich KDE Plasma interface.
Target Audience: This product is not designed for server or enterprise-oriented businesses, but rather for home users to comfortably perform their daily tasks (internet, office, multimedia, gaming).
In short, it is an independent, local community project that is easy to use, has strong Turkish language support, and possesses its own unique technologies.
