OpenSCAD is a free CAD application that allows you to create 3D designs. It's ideal for designing industrial products such as machine parts.
OpenSCAD is not an interactive modeling software. Instead, the program creates 3D models using pre-prepared template files (scripts). This structure allows users to have complete control over the 3D modeling process and modify any stage as they wish. This enables users to create 3D models that better suit their preferences.
OpenSCAD can create 3D models by reading AutoCAD DXF files as well as STL and OFF files.
