"Network Stumbler", a free software, shows the signal strength of the wireless hotspot with high accuracy and a beautiful interface.
It shows disconnections and can locate them via an optional GPS (Global Positioning System). Many W-LAN programs can show the signal quality and noise ratio, but very few of them can show it in detail and in a comfortable and understandable way at the same time, like "Network Stumbler".
