ExitReality was the revolutionary metaverse web browser, prototyped in the year 2000 and in active development from 2004 to 2011. It was unique in that it transformed every web page on the internet into a procedurally generated 3D space where people could meet each other. Site owners could decorate with open-standards 3D & 2D content and use 3D CSS to produce customized spaces. Links were represented as doorways to others sites, creating the world?s first seamless and content rich metaverse that could be experienced in any web browser.
