Unlike the complex menus and cluttered interfaces of traditional video players, Clapper promises an extremely simple and fluid experience. Here are some of the program's most notable features:
1. Modern Interface and Different Viewing Modes

Clapper features a completely context-focused design, replacing classic window title bars or fixed menus. It includes a stylish OSD (On-Screen Display) control panel that appears when you hover the mouse cursor over it and disappears when inactive. The program offers users three basic modes:

    Windowed Mode: A minimalist framework for classic desktop usage.

    Fullscreen Mode: A cinematic experience free from any distractions.

    Floating Mode (PiP Mode): This mode allows you to multitask by pinning the video on top of other windows. 

2. Strong Hardware Acceleration Support

Clapper offers high performance with low CPU consumption; it supports VA-API for AMD and Intel graphics cards, and NVDEC hardware acceleration for NVIDIA graphics cards. This allows you to watch high-resolution videos smoothly without straining your computer.
3. Playlist and Drag-and-Drop Convenience

Clapper works with single files as well as an advanced playback queue logic. You can add multiple media files to the list, easily reorder them using drag-and-drop, or remove them from the list.
4. Online Streaming and Subtitling Support

    You can play not only your local files, but also links from various video services, including YouTube, by pasting them directly into the program.

    With comprehensive subtitle support, you can add external subtitle files; and easily configure font, size, audio, and subtitle synchronization (offset) settings.
