Each player starts with sixteen pieces: eight pawns, two knights, two bishops, two castles, one queen and one king. each player is the object of the game to try and test your opponent. Checkmate is a threat ('check') against the king who can not stop any moves. This concludes the game. During the course, the two opponents board in turn to move one of their pieces to a different chariot. A player ('White') has brightly colored pieces; the other player ('Black'), there are dark pieces. There are rules about how to move the pieces and take the opponent's stones from the battlefield. With white stones the player always makes the first move. For this reason, white has a small advantage and gains more black in the tournament.
